The purpose-built 3R-RL12-001T is designed to accommodate (12) M4 or M16 rifles during transport, with six rifles secured in each half of the case by a single padlockable security bar enabling rapid deployment. Built-in tow handles and wheels also provide ease of transport in all types of environments.
This SKB 3R Series roto-molded Mil-Standard shipping case features a LLDPE polyethylene impact resistant shell with gasketed, watertight design (MIL-C-4150J). Case also features separable lids, spring-loaded rubber over-molded handles, recessed, black powder coated stainless steel twist latches, and an automatic ambient pressure equalization valve. SKB 3R Series cases are resistant to UV, solvents, corrosion, fungus and impact damage (MIL-STD-810G). ATA 300, Category 1 rated. Accepts TSA approved padlocks (Sold Separately).

The formula used to determine the overall size is Length + Width x 2 + Height x 2. There is a shipping surcharge for oversized packages that will raise the price over the standard rate. A minimum weight of 90 lbs. would apply to the charge. Always check the carrier’s oversized package policy for exact limits. Oversized Checked Baggage refers to cases that can be checked on the airlines but could incur oversize fees. Typically oversize fees can be applied to cases between 50-100 lbs and between 63-126 inches overall. Overall dimensions of the case are determined by adding the length, width and height together.
