One of Specialty Cases’ bestselling products, SKB’s shockmount rack cases are where convenience meets maximum protection. These designs are almost always in stock, ready to go, providing an alternative to custom-build wood racks. And since they are rotationally molded of LMDPE for maximum impact resistance, you’ll lose the worry of your equipment being protected. The latest in shockmount technology is all here, with elastomeric shocks, threaded steel rails, and aluminum cross components for strength and durability.

The Rolling Shockmount Case series incorporates our black powder coated twist latches with locking loops and low profile injection molded pull handle with a 20 inch deep tough shell. The molded design provides extra stiffness in the lids and sides and allows for secure stacking. Rack depth front to rear rail is 20 inches. Rack rails are pre-threaded for standard 10-32 hardware and the mounting screws are included. Doors are fully usable even when racks are stacked together. Elastomeric shocks protect even the heaviest of loads. Sliding retractable handle, ambient pressure relief valve, oversized snap-down handles on each side, roller blade wheels, and gasket protected front and rear doors are all standard equipment.

The 10U Roto Shockmount Rack Case is produced through a process called rotational molding - a 3-stage heating process that results in evenness all around the edges of the case. The polyethylene material is inserted into a mold, and then gradually rotated until the material sticks to the edges of the mold in an even pattern. Once cooled, this plastic material forms a strong bond that minimizes sagging and potential collapse.

Designed for maximum protection and shock absorbency, it is constructed with adjustable elastomer shock absorbers that deliver the kind of security you want from a shippable case. There is also room to add another layer of shock absorbency. Within the case there is plenty of room for air to circulate – a major consideration for sensitive audio equipment. Rear rails make inserting and removing equipment much easier. In addition, both the front and rear have full sized lids for even more accessibility to the contents.
